2007 Infiniti QX56........Steering wheel controls are not working

I am not sure when they quit working one by one, I realized the instrument cluster lights blink sometimes, but only when the headlights are turned on. Then comes the cruise control, then the music controls on the steering wheel. Eventually, the horn too ceased. . I haven't checked all the fuses yet but someone says it could be the clock spring. What in the world do I need to do? Any other suggestion
