I left my car at the Walmart parking lot for the night and that was it.
The catalytic Converter cut off from my 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe. Could I get it replaced by my insurance?

Once, a car enthusiast named Dave decided to fix his aging sedan by himself. He thought he could save some money and impress his friends with his newfound mechanical sk*lls. So, he turned to a popular car repair forum for advice.

Dave posted a question titled, "How do I fix a mysterious rattling noise?" In his post, he humorously described the sound as resembling "a raccoon having a dance party in the trunk." The replies came flooding in, ranging from helpful tips to outrageous suggestions.

One user jokingly recommended that Dave should "feed the raccoon some snacks" to calm it down. Another suggested he simply start playing loud music, claiming that might drown out the noise.

Amidst the hilarity, a seasoned mechanic chimed in with genuine advice about checking loose bolts. Following this, Dave realized he had accidentally left a toolbox in the trunk, which was causing all the ruckus!

In the end, he not only fixed his car but also ended up with a hilarious story to share at the next barbecue. His friends still tease him about the "raccoon party" every time they see his sedan.

General News & Events / Tariffs will hurt consumers mo...
Last post by Admin11 - Mar 08, 2025, 08:25 PM
The tariffs are on all imports for cars and parts from the specific Countries as at whim decided by the President.
Even American made cars will increase, since many parts of a car are imported from countries on the Tariff applied list.
Less people will buy a new car and delay purchases, therefore Car plants will reduce capacity, with less sales, then reduce employees, and it will create a vicious circle, hitting the economy for all consumers.
Parts needed for repairs will become more difficult to find, therefore will also increase in price.

Unless you are a Billionaire of the inner circle, then you don't care.

Carfax / Carfax is NOT Always Correct
Last post by Kpurrr - Mar 07, 2025, 04:13 PM
I recently listed my 2012 BMW 760LI for sale, which has 65,000 kilometers on the odometer. A potential buyer expressed strong interest and requested the VIN# to obtain a Carfax report.

To my shock, he returned with the claim that the odometer had been manipulated. I immediately rejected this assertion since I have owned the car for several years, purchasing it when it had only 32,000 km on it.

To resolve the issue, I visited my local BMW dealership, where I have always had the vehicle serviced. They confirmed the accurate odometer reading in their system and assured me that there was no mistake on their part. However, they directed me to Carfax to rectify the discrepancy.

When I contacted Carfax, the representative quickly identified the problem: BMW had recorded the mileage as 65,000 km, but Carfax mistakenly interpreted it as 65,000 miles. which made the reading go to 104. 6K km and down to 65K km Unfortunately, the trust between the buyer and me was irreparably damaged, causing me to lose the sale.

Now I'm left wondering if I should pursue Carfax for their error.

Chevrolet / Some Dealerships Are Terrible,...
Last post by Kpurrr - Mar 07, 2025, 03:29 PM
I recently took my 2023 Chevy Silverado to Lansbury Chevrolet due to persistent engine warning lights. The service team conducted a diagnostic check and informed me that I could take the truck home while they awaited the necessary part. They assured me they would call once the part arrived.

Two weeks passed, and I hadn't received any updates. Concerned, I decided to reach out to them. To my surprise, they couldn't locate my order in their system and suggested I bring the truck back for further diagnostics.

This back-and-forth added another seven days to my wait time for repairs. During this frustrating period, I was effectively grounded without a reliable vehicle. Unfortunately, I never received an apology for the inconvenience caused by their oversight and delays.

Infiniti / 2006 Infiniti QX 56 Left side ...
Last post by Kpurrr - Mar 07, 2025, 03:12 PM
The 2006 Infiniti QX56 has a problem with the left-side headlight, which is currently not functioning. Upon inspection, it has been confirmed that the bulb is in good condition and does not require replacement.

It has been checked for faulty headlight socket, damaged wiring, or a blown fuse in the electrical system. None of those proved to be of concern. Any inputs?
