Clicking noise from the dashboard

I hope you're all doing well. I recently encountered an issue with my 2006 Infiniti QX56 that I could help with. When I started the vehicle and activated the temperature control to direct the airflow towards me, I noticed a peculiar clicking noise from the dashboard area.

The sound seems to occur specifically when I adjust the settings for the air direction. It's not a constant noise, but rather an intermittent clicking that raises some concerns.

I've checked to ensure that the vents are free of obstructions, and everything appears to be clear. However, I'm unsure what might be causing this noise.

Has anyone experienced something similar with their QX56 or any other Infiniti model? Any insights or suggestions on potential causes would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your help!
